Is it possible to use two insurance companies one covers half of the implanting and the other covers the second half?

    I’ve never heard of that, but to be sure, call the dentist office to find out.

    Yes, you can have double insurance… make sure a pre-estimate is sent to your primary carrier first, then to the second one once the primary has stated how much they’ll cover. Then you’ll know approx how much, if any, you’ll have to pay out-of-pocket.

    Usually doesn’t work that way, would be nice if it did.
    Here’s how it works.
    Say the implant cost $2,000.00
    Say insurance company 1 will pay $1,100.00 and insurance company 2 will pay $1,250.00 for implants.
    You submit your bill to both.
    #1 will pay $1,100.00 and because of coordination of benefits #2 will pay
    $150.00.
